Three Locations Serving the Inland Empire
Each of our campuses is in a community center managed by the Valley-Wide Recreation & Park District. We have partnered with Valley-Wide since 2002, providing quality martial art training at affordable prices.
Students work out with kids their own age and progress at their own pace.
Our ATA Tigers curriculum was developed specifically for preschool-age children ages 5 through 7. It gives children a strong foundation in courtesy, respect and discipline, improves motor skills, and builds their ability to pay attention and follow directions, with the most fun and exciting training methods we know for this age group.
4 year olds may join if they are turning 5 by Dec 31st of the current calendar year. Fridays at the Menifee Campus we also hold Little Dumplings 4 & Under.
A program created exclusively for children, in two age groups: pre-school karate for ages 3-6, and karate for kids ages 7 through 12. The foundation is life skills: positive mental attitude, high goal setting, perseverance, self-control and confidence. Taekwondo is an individual activity rather than a team sport, so every student is an active and valuable participant in class.
High-intensity fitness and real self-defense that applies in today's world. If you have done all the aerobics classes and solo miles you can stand, this won't become dull or routine: as soon as you get better, there are more challenges ahead. Most of our adults seldom, if ever, get into a fighting situation, but training greatly enhances your ability to take care of yourself, or someone you care for, when the time arises.
The TMA Leadership Program goes beyond the blocks, strikes and kicks of the Basic program: advanced martial arts techniques, weapons, intense fitness and conditioning, tournament competition, character development and life skills. Students learn to find their own strengths, be disciplined in their actions and develop a "Yes I Can" attitude, inside and outside the classroom.
For students who have the qualities of a great leader and are ready to rise a step above the Leadership Program. It takes them to new heights in martial arts training, character development and managerial skills. Whether the goal is to become a lawyer, doctor or professor, it plants the seeds of leadership that bring success to their life.
Tournaments are controlled competitive environments where students display and improve their skills safely. ATA hosts three tournaments annually, Fall and Spring Nationals and the World Championships; all other tournaments are hosted by ATA licensees.

Building Our Communities by Helping Others
Twice a year we go to the Idyllwild area for special events for our Black Belt leaders: the Black Belt Ceremony in April/May and Leadership Camp in September/October, with special workouts, hikes and a pot luck. All members of Thomas' Martial Arts or our sister school, Spirit Martial Arts, and their families are welcome.

A fun, safe way for students to test their training against other members of our schools, with competition in Forms, Weapons, Sparring and Combat Weapons Sparring, the same events offered at all ATA tournaments. We hold 3 a year, one in each location, provided the rooms are available.

A great way for students to invite friends or family to try class. It is more motivating to train with friends and family, and we have always encouraged families to train together.

Color belt testing is held about every two months: Fridays at 4:00 P.M. in Menifee and Thursdays at 5:00 P.M. in Murrieta. A student must have their instructor's permission to test. Black Belt rank tests are held on Saturdays because of their length, and 5th Degrees and higher test at Regional, National or World level.
We are an ATA Martial Arts school that is independently owned and operated. Students train in the ATA curriculum, test for rank with us, and can compete at ATA tournaments, including Fall and Spring Nationals and the World Championships, along with tournaments hosted by other ATA licensees.
Yes, and we encourage it. Taekwondo is one of the few things a family can do together: you actually train with your children and, in later stages, spar and break boards alongside them. Our in school seminars are also a good way for friends and family to try a class.
